The city emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 2004 by Notice No 21 but there is no flag law. The white flag has an orange, green and blue three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana や Ya of Yasu. It represents an abundant nature, history and vivid people of the city.
