The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Mar 1st 2004 by Notice No 2. The
white flag has a green, a blue two color city emblem in the center. The city
emblem is a stylized kanji 高 Taka of akiTakata. The lower circle
symbolizes the people, the nature, a reliance and a collaboration. It represents
a reconciliation and a concord of the people with the nature and a peaceful
development of the city. The flag proportion is 2:3. The height of the emblem is
8/11 of the height of the flag.
