The city emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 2010 by Notice No1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue, a green and an orange three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana いと Ito of Itoshima. The blue color stands for the sea, the green color for the mountains and the orange color for the citizen.
It represents an image of the fresh and vivid city with the vigorous citizen.
