Located in Shibuya City Tokyo and established in 1946.

The founder of the school, Shigeyoshi Matsumae, was influenced by the ideology of Kanzo Uchimura, and symbolized "love and justice" as his own creed in the cross on the school's flag. He said, "The white line of the cross on the school flag represents love horizontally and justice vertically. Where love and justice intersect, there is truth. The university emblem is a wave and wing design on the Chinese character "大學" . The school emblems of each educational institution in the school are designed with waves and wings, representing the open ocean and the seagull, which looks down on it and spreads its wings wide in flight.
