Introduction

Since Germany (C-ensign, 1945-1950), Japan (E-ensign, 1945-1952), and Okinawa (D- ensign, 1950-1967) had international signal flags designated as ensigns for them by Allied forces, I am interested to know if the same was true for Korea (1945-48) and Austria (1945-55).

I suppose such flags were not thought of since technically Korea and Austria had been annexed countries (by Japan and Germany, respectively) now liberated.

Another matter of course is the presence of foreign flags as both countries were effectively divided (in the case of Austria there was a happy end).
