2009 Francophone Games Countdown Started Mon, Oct 10 2008
The countdown for the 2009 Francophone games began on Sunday after President Michel Suleiman received
six flags carrying signatures of heads of municipalities, mayors and other officials from all Lebanese
regions. Runners from six provinces relayed the flags all the way to Baabda Palace.
"I announce today from Baabda Palace the official launch of the countdown for the 6th Francophone
games that will be held in Beirut in 2009," Suleiman said
