Orient Shipping Line

One of the unique stories is the story of the Orient Shipping Line which was founded in Germany in 1933 by five German Jews that wanted to find a way to take their money out of Nazi Germany.
They bought two barges (Dora and Carola) and they sail from Hamburg to Haifa under German command and the unique combination of the Nazi flag and the company flag (Blue Magen David on white with the letter O inside it). After arriving to Haifa, the German crew was sent back and the boats sailed only with the company house flag. The company failed in its business and dissolved in 1934.

Palestine Shipping Company – the company was located in Haifa. It must have had a branch in Hamburg or Bremen and it was on service probably between both World Wars.
Description of flag: It is a light blue flag with a white lozenge in its centre and a light blue capital "P" within the lozenge.
