The "Nieuwe Afrikaansche Handels-Vennootschap" (NAHV, New African Trading Society), based in Rotterdam, was founded on 20 August 1880 by Royal Decree. NAHV controlled the Dutch trade with West Africa, owning 75 factories and posts north and south of the port of Banana and along river Congo. NAHV succeeded AHV (Afrikaansche Handels Vereeniging, AHV,  the African Trading Association). AHV and NAHV have been famous  "retrievers" of African artefacts for the Dutch museums.

Lloyd's Book of House Flags and Funnels (1912) shows the house flag of NAHV (#6, p. 37) as white with the serif, black letters "AHV" in the middle.

The NAHV maintained the house flag (and the logo) 'AHV' well into the 1910s, according to a former NAHV'ers whom I interviewed around 1990, who had learned this from their superior,  who worked in Congo around 1910.
I am working on a Ph.D. dissertation on the history of the NAHV from 1857-1908.
