Pszów town flag

Pszów - urban commune, Wodzisław County, Śląskie Voivodship - Silesian name: Pšůw; German name: Pschow.
Pszów is a town in Wodzisław County, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland, with 14,035 inhabitants (2004).
Area: 20.42 sq.km (7.9 sq.mi).
The town is where a famous Polish rock band Łzy was founded and started their career.
As a result of the Upper Silesian plebiscite in 1922 the town went to Poland.

Arms and flag adopted on October 30, 2003 (resolution # XII/77/2003).
"Arms:  on the blue, gold framed shield a silhouette of the church and free-standing large cross.
Church building is white with two black windows. Its roof with three towers is gold as is the large cross.

Flag: a rectangle in the ratio 5:8 composed of two equal horizontal bands: yellow over blue with the Arms in the center of the flag.
Yellow and blue are the colors of Upper Silesia.
The church and cross remind the town is an object of religious pilgrimages."
