Shield Gules, two branches of laurel Argent fruited Or, crossed per saltire and flanked by two fleur-de-lis Or, in central chief a scallop Or, all above a base wavy of argent and Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "FREGUESIA DE LOURINHÃ".
Meaning:
Laurel trees are the most abundant native species of trees in the area and was already depicted on the oldest arms of the village. Their number is representing the two local communities, the indigenous one and the French one. The scallop is a symbol of the pilgrims of St. James, their passage through the village, and the saint's adoration, especially in the church of St. Mary of Lourinhã. The fleur-de-lis are taken from the arms of Dom Jordão, the first benefactor of Lourinhã. The waves (green and white) are representing the location on the shores of the Atlantic and its importance for the local development

Lourinhã was one of the pre-2013 communes of the municipality having the same name, it covered 39.0 km² and had 9897 inhabitants in 2011.

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field.

Shield Argent with base wavy of Vert and Argent, the wave Argent charged with two fish Gules, a galleon issuant Sable with windows Or and destroyed sails Gules, in chief two windmill wheels Sable rigged Azure. Mural Crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black initials: "ATALAIA - LOURINHÃ".
Meaning:
The windmill wheels are symbolizing the replicas of windmills for touristic purposes and are a reminder on then numerous windmills of cereals in the past, nowadays replaced by a more industrial type of mill. The base wavy with the fish is representing the Atlantic and the importance of local fishery. The galleon is reminding on the most important historical incident, the shipwreck of the galleon S.NICOLAU.

Atalaia Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Lourinhã Municipality (q.v.); it had 1858 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 7.7 km².
