Shield Gules, divided by a cross Or, the upper quarters are charged with a pine cone Or, the lower quarters with a pear Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "UNIÃO DAS FREGUSIAS DE PROENÇA-A-NOVA E PERAL"
Meaning:
The pine cone's and the cross are representing former Proença-a-Nova commune, the pears former Peral commune.

Shield Argent, two eradicated pear trees Vert fruited Or and ordered per fess. In chief a bendy saw Gules hilted Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "PERAL - PROENÇA-A-NOVA".
Meaning:
The pear trees are canting elements.
