The arms are Argent a holm oak Vert trunked Sable and fruited Or issuant
from coupaux Sable emphasized Or and flanked at dexter chief by a Christian
King’s head and at dexter chief by a Moorish King’s head and in
campaign a fess wavy Vert on a a fess wavy Argent. Mural crown argent with four
visible towers (town rank) and white scroll
reading in black upper case letters "Vila de São Brás de
Alportel". (Yes, there’s Or on Argent and even Argent on Argent in this coat of
arms!)

sword Argent set in pale and poining upwards shoved across a open crown crown
Or with three stems at dexter and a crescent Argent surmounted by an estoile Or
at sinister. Mural crown argent with three visible towers
(commune rank) and white scroll reading in black
upper case letters "Freguesia de São Brás de Alportel".
