CD Nacional Madeira like Maritimo also had been established in 1910. The traditional colours are black and white. It is the original club of famous player Cristiano Ronaldo. The flag is a 5-stripes flag of black and white, striped vertically with the logo in the centre. The logo is yellow disc fimbriated pink - the colours of Funchal municipality - with a white shield in the centre. The shield is divided by three black pales. The chief is white with a black logo in the centre with superimposed letters CDN. The shield is flanked by two footballs. Above and beneath are pink scrolls with yellow inscriptions "C.D. NACIONAL" (above) and "MADEIRA" (beneath).
