Presentation of TİM

TİM, established in 1993, is an umbrella organization grouping around 83,000 exporting companies. The duties of TİM and its member exporters associations are prescribed by Law No. 5,910 (text), enacted on 18 June 2009 and published on 3 July 3009 in the Turkish official gazette, No. 27,277, and amended by Law No. 6,552 published on 11 September 2014 in the Turkish official gazette, No. 29,116 (bis).
TİM is defined in Article 2d) of the Law as "a supreme organization of the exporters' associations established in order to ensure coordination among the associations, carry out solution-oriented studies for the problems of the exporters, to conduct studies in order to assist in the development of foreign trade in the interest of the state and to represent the exporters at the top level."

TİM is composed of 13 regional exporters associations.

EİB (website), headquartered in Alsancak, was founded in 1939 in İzmir comprising 12 sectors: animal products, dried fruits, olive and olive oil, cereals, forestry and wooden products, fresh fruits and vegetables, tobacco, textiles and raw materials, apparel, leather and leather products, minerals, ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
With over 7.500 member companies, the annual exports realized by the members of the 12 associations account for 8.1% of Turkey’s total exports with 12.2 billion $.

West Mediterranean Exporters Association

BAİB (website) was founded in 1968 and it has become a Regional Association as of 2011.The association, headquartered in Muratpaşa (Antalya), is responsible for the towns of Antalya, Isparta and Burdur. Exporting companies which are registered and functioning in any of these towns are obliged to be member of BAİB.
BAİB covers 25 sectors; those with the highest volume in the region's export are mining products, fresh fruits and vegetables, chemicals, wood, and ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
