The flag of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications (photo) was white with the ministry's emblem in the middle.
The emblem of the ministry can be on motorways bridges, at airports and offices of harbour captains. It is surrounded by a black ring. The emblem displays on a white field a "globe" formed by three blue meridians and five parallels, four of them blue. The 2nd parallel from below is a red crescent being some kind of "equator". At the fly end of the 2nd parallel from above is a lying red five-pointed star. The star and crescent represent the Turkish Republic. "T.C." stands for "Türkiye Cumhuriyeti", "Republic of Turkey".

The flag of TCK is orange with a black ring in the middle, inscribing a black image of a stilyzed highway bridge, as shwon on traffic signs. The horizontal bar of the bridge is superimposed by the white, serifed inscription "TCK" (photo), or "KGM" (image).

The Ministry of Posts, established in 1840, and the Directorate of Telegraph, established in 1855, merged in 1871 to form PTT (Posta ve Telgraf Teşkilatı, website). Transformed into a State Economic Enterprise in 1954, PTT was made a State Economic Establishment by Decree-Law No. 233, adopted in 1984. On 18 June 1994 the Directorate General of PTT was restructured again and split into the Directorate General of Posts and Turk Telecom Cooperation. The Directorate General of Post began an independent service on 24 April 1995.
The flag of PTT is yellow (photo, photo), or white (photo), with the emblem adopted in 2018.

The former flag of PTT (photo) was yellow with the blue inscription "Ptt", slightly shifted to bottom and fly. Above the inscription are placed a blue horn, symbolizing mail service, and a red flash symbolizing telegraph.

Flaggenbuch (1939) [neu92] shows the flag of the post service used at sea as rectangular, red with "POSTA" in big white letters. This flag is probably no longer in use today.

The flag of DHMİ (photo) is celestial blue with the directorate's emblem in the middle. The emblem shows a hand or glove and an aeroplane above the hand. The whole is superimposing a blue annulet inscribed with the name of the organization.

The Turkish Republic, established in 1923, acquired on 22 April 1924 the Anatolian Railways (CFOA) by Decree-Law No. 506. On 24 May 1924 the CFOA was put under the control of the Directorate General Anadolu - Bağdat Demiryolları, the predecessor of the TCDD.
TCDD was established on 23 May 1927. On 1 January 1937, it overtook the Compagnie des Chemins de fer Orientaux and since then controls the whole Turkish railway network. Nowadays the net is divided in three parts, the European branch lines, the Central Anatolian branch lines and a connection with Iran beginning on the east bank of Lake Van.
The flag of TCDD (photo, photo) is white with the company's emblem in the middle.
The emblem of TCDD is made of a blue winged wheel, superimposed by a red lying crescent. Above all is a red five-pointed star pointing downwards, to the crescent. The crescent and the star represent the Turkish Republic. The winged wheel is the classical railway symbol. Beneath the logo is a blue, unserifed inscription in Italics: "TCDD".
TÜVASAŞ

The railcar manufacturer TÜVASAŞ (website), established on 25 October 1951, as
Vagon Tamir Atölyesi (Railcar Repair Workshop), is fully
controlled by the Turkish State Railways.
The first railcars were produced in 1962 by the Adapazarı Railroad Factory (Adapazarı Demiryolu Fabrikasına - ADF). The company was renamed to ADVAS (Adapazarı Railroad Industrial Establishment - Adapazarı Vagon
Sanayi Müessesesi) in 1975, and, eventually to TÜVASAŞ, in 1965.
TÜVASAŞ has a capacity of manufacturing 75 railcars and repairing 500 railcars annually. As of 31 December 2012, TÜVASAŞ has manufactured 1,793 passenger railcars and offered maintenance, repair, revision and modernization works of another 36,224 passenger units.
