"The flag was approved by the solution No.XXIII/10-28 of
council session at 27.08.1999. There is trichromatic
green-red-blue rectangular panel with the dove in its
upper-left-hand corner. The ratio of width to length is
1:2."

Heraldry:
"The modern emblem was approved by the solution No.
XXIII/10-28 of council session at 27.08.1999. The shield bend
sinister trichromatic vert-gules-sable in a ratio 2:1:1. In the
first vert field is the dove. First and second parts divided by
argent-sable bend sinister. In the third part are two crossed
argent hammers. Above a shield is a urban crown with. On a crown
is date of the city basis "1867". Above a crown is
sunflower with three leaves. The shield is framed by branches of
acacia, banded by an argent ribbon. To the left of a shield is
the miner with a pick hammer in the left hand, to the right is
archangel of Michael with spear. Below it is a ribbon with a
title of city, above it is a red pink, under it are oak
leaves."

place-name was received by engineer P.M.Horlov who organized
mines there."
