The Flag

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"Flag of region: a light blue rectangular, at which centre the white fortress with three towers with yellow roofs and open yellow hiluses, in which passes yellow horse. Height of an emblem peer 2/3 heights of a panel. Along flagstaff and free edges on distance in 1/10 heights of a panel goes on a vertical white sinuous bar (which width is peer 1/20 heights of a panel). A relation of the sides of a flag - 2:3."

It is the flag of Brovary rajon (district) of Kiev oblast. Meanings: golden goal - the Brovary is named 'eastern goal of Kiev', two wavy lines - rivers Desna and Trubizh.

"The gonfalon of the chairman of region advice: a white square panel, at which centre the large emblem of Brovars'kyi region (height in 4/5 sides of a panel). Gonfalone has yellow edging from three sides."

"At October, 20, 1998, Brovars'kyi region council has affirmed characters of region. The large emblem of Brovars'kyi region: in an azure field is argent fortress with three towers with or roofs and open or hiluses, in which passes or horse; after the sides of a fortress on one argent sinuous narrow pole. The board is crowned of Viburnum flowers also is framed bronze wreath from pine, oak and birch branches. The artist is M.Uft', adviser is O.Kohan.
Brovary is east hiluses of Kyiv, by which in all times the roads, - from here idea of an argent fortress with or hiluses converged. The image of or horse is coupled to national legends of hailstones a Cream. The argent sinuous bars symbolize a Desna and Trubizh rivers, between which the territory of region was generated. The flowers of Viburnum symbolizes the Kyiv area, into which composition enters Brovary, and wreath from branches of a pine, oak and birch tells about characteristic of region vegetation."

The District

"The Brovars'kyi region is disposed in a northeast part of the Kyiv area in boundaries of Dnieper lowland. Derivated at 1923. Among local legends there are retellings about mysterious city Cream, which residuals were saved on a swamp to the north of one Litochky village. Tell, that on main double argent hiluses of city there was a image of the or rider. At approximation of the tatar invasion the hiluses have dug in sandy of Halakovschyna, where they lie till now. The writer and retelling the boy recalls which by first has tamed wild horse. These legends also become the basis for engineering symbolics of region."
