"In the vert field is azure beam. There are or crossed
hammer and a railway key in cross, accompanied by two argent
hexagons. Under beam is or horse. Hammer and a raiway key mean
city origin. Hexagons mean kaolin's mining and building's
construction manufacture. Beam means the Konka river. The horse
symbolize old legend about Turkey galley with or horse that
downed in the Konka river".

"Is was founded at the end of XIX century by construction of
the Berdians'k-Kharkiv railway. The city name came from Novi
Pology village. In 1933 it got the status of a town".
