Back in 2002, the Iowa State Association of Counties website hosted an account of each county's history, signed by its County Recorder, and illustrated with a black and white flag image. It is not clear whether these flag images were provided by the county administration or not.
Archived copies of the pages about Davis County are still at web.archive.org/web/*/www.iowacounties.org/County+Info/History+Pages/davis.htm and web.archive.org/web/*/www.iowacounties.org/County+Info/Flags/Davis.htm. It is a ~3:5 plain light (white?) flag showing nine elements and lettering. The lettering reads "Davis County" in two lines, set in black (?) serif capitals along the top, the lower line in a smaller type. The nine elements, placed mostly in a grid of 3x3, with the lettering taking the top middle position, are: At top hoist a horse, at center hoist what seems to be the eponymical "hut" of the Pizza Hut restaurant chain, at lower hoist a pig, offset flywards between the hut and the pig, a ball tied to a pole (a contraption for solo baseball batting practice?), at middle center a palace (local town hall?, court house?), at middle bottom two stacked books, at top hoist a cow, at center hoist a barn,
and at bottom fly a sheep; all animals turned inwards.

It is honey-colored with garnet elements, according to a photo of the flag sent to me by John Johnson. This is one of the many Iowa county flags with lettering set in the typeface Palatino Linotype - this may imply that all the flags using it were designed at the same time by the same artist.
