Several months ago, the Amarillo City Hall was flying a flag outside of it with their City Seal and a white background, which can be seen on their website's header: www.ci.amarillo.tx.us/ and
www.answers.com/topic/amarillo-texas-seal-png. I vaguely remember having seen that blue flag before but they could have changed it. I tried to email the City of Amarillo but they just didn't reply back to me for....several months now. I just want to confirm the current look of that city's flag or they
just didn't adopt a new one.

A photo of this flag was posted in the FOTW FB group last year:

I just read the latest issue of FLAGSCAN (no 9-10, 2000) published by the Canadian Flag Association, Kevin Harrington, Editor.
Amarillo's flag has a map of North and Central America on it. Kevin says that the flag in the Amarillo City Hall display case does not show Cuba! Harrington also says the ribbon is red (vs W in
drawing) and the Stetson hat at the bottom is white.

My drawing of the old flag is based on photos of a recent replica:

Amarillo is a city in the panhandle of Texas, and the county seat for Potter County. It is
the fourteenth largest city in Texas by population, with over 190,000 people in 2010.

I found several photographs of the Amarillo Police Department flag online while researching, including ama-cdn.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/superphoto/11182884.jpg. Based on the photographs, the flag of the Amarillo Police Department features the department's shoulder sleeve patch centered on a dark blue field.
