Municipal flags in Frederick County:

Frederick County is Virginia's northernmost county, with the county seat in the city of Winchester. The county was named after the Prince of Wales, Frederick Louis, the oldest son of King George II and father of the future King George III.
The flag of Frederick County can be seen in photographs and video from the 2015 Virginia Association of Counties annual conference (photos no longer available online). The flag features the county seal centered on a red field. The circular seal shows the full achievement of arms for the county on a light blue disc. The arms are argent, a cross gules. Each quarter of the shield contains a smaller crowned shield
representing a part of the Kingdom of Great Britain. The shield is supported by two armored soldiers bearing spears and wearing a tunic
with the St. George's cross, while the crest of the arms is in the form of a bust of a Native American. Below the shield is a small banner
bearing the word "VIRGINIA" with the year 1738 beneath. The words "FREDERICK COUNTY" are arched in black capital letters above the coat of
arms.
