Italian-style peace flags are widely used in the USA. Variants with inscription PEACE clearly prevail, although those with the inscription PACE are used as well. A peculiarity of their use in the USA is that they are used not only at the pacifist rallies and protests, but also at the LGBT events, having been adopted by their participants probably because of their similarity, however vague it may be, with the rainbow LGBT flags. The color shades of all variants seem to vary a lot, so their images will show only the most typical sets of shades. The conclusions about the frequency of each variant's use are based on current frequency of its appearing at the Flickr photo galleries, which are widely used by the U.S. residents, and although the results from other similar sources might vary a bit, these might be considered quite representative, but do not exclude the possibility of future frequency changes or new variants appearances.

The most widely used variant has the following color pattern: dark blue, light blue, very light blue, green, yellow, orange, red; white word PEACE is over very light blue and green. Dark blue generally inclines to violetblue and light blue is generally very close to cyan. A very similar flag is used in Italy as well as in other European countries, but not as much as this one is used in the USA. It was used during the March for Peace in Washington, DC, on 2005-09-24, then in Douglas County, Kansas, on 2006-06-11, at a celebration in Eugene, Oregon, on 2006-09-09, during the Peace March in San Francisco, California, on 2007-10-27, during the peace protest in Brookline, Massachsetts, on 2008-03-22 (photo, photo) and at the peace protest in Washington, DC, on 2008-10-30. The flag was also seen at the protest on 2008-11-15, in Washington, DC, against the Proposition 8, California state constitutional amendment which restricted the right to marry to heterosexual couples (photo, photo). It was also seen, together with the U.S. national flag, outside the WTC site, New York, NY, on 2009-02-23 and at another celebration in Eugene, Oregon, which took place on 2011-08-27.

A variant widely used in Europe, but apparently less so in the USA, has the color pattern: purple, dark blue, light blue, green, yellow, orange, red; word PEACE is inscribed in white over light blue and green. It was used at the annual protest in Ft. Benning, Georgia, on 2008-11-22, during the peace rally in Lincoln, Nebraska, on 2007-08-24 (photo, photo, photo), during another anti-war protest in Nebraska (exact place not specified by the source), on 2007-09-15 and at the anti-war rally in Fresno, California, on 2009-03-22.

Another flag variant which is used less in the USA than in Europe, where it is widely popular, has the color pattern: dark blue, light blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, red; word PEACE is inscribed in white over purple and green. It was seen in Columbia, South Carolina, on 2006-01-16, at the protest against the Iraq War in Denver, Colorado, on 2008-03-16, at a peace rally in New York, NY, on 2009-04-04 and during the anti-war protest in St. Paul, Minnesota, on 2010-05-18.

The least used variant in the USA has the color pattern: dark blue, purple, light blue, green, yellow, orange, red; word PEACE is inscribed in white over light blue and green. It was seen during the protest in San Diego, California, on 2007-01-27.

The most used variant has the same color pattern as the most used variant with the inscription PEACE: dark blue, light blue, very light blue, green, yellow, orange, red; white word PACE is inscribed over very light blue and green. Dark blue generally inclines to violetblue and light blue is generally very close to cyan. It was seen at the Atlanta Pride, on 2006-06-25 (photo, photo), during the Republican National Convention Protest March, St Paul, Minnesota, on 2008-09-01 and at the LA Pride on 2008-06-09.

Another variant very popular in Europe, but less in the USA, has the color pattern: purple, dark blue, light blue, green, yellow, orange, red; word PACE is inscribed in white over light blue and green. It was
used at the peace protest in Washington, DC, on 2008-03-19 and during the protest against the Proposition 8, in Los Angeles, California, on 2008-11-08 (photo, photo, photo, photo, photo).

Another variant with some popularity in Italy
but rarely seen in other countries, was introduced in the USA some time ago. The
color pattern is: purple, light blue, green, yellow, orange, red, dark blue;
word PACE is inscribed in white over green and yellow. The only currently known
example of its use is from the Columbus, Ohio, the photo having been taken at
the Stonewall Columbus Pride on 2017-06-17:

The color
shades are lighter than on the flags from Italy, resembling better the flag
which was seen in London, UK in 2007 which
suggests that the flag might have been actually introduced from the UK, instead
of directly from Italy.
