I located the flag and coat of arms of Alcadia of San
Sebastian de los Reyes (Aragua, Venezuela) at <sansebastiandelosreyes-aragua.gov.ve>.
Olivier Touzeau, 28 March 2004
The Flag - Attributes and Semiology: Consists in a field with
approximated ratio 2:3; this is, square and half of length whose
sky-blue background shows a diagonal strripe disposed from the
superior canton of the fly to the inferior canton of the hoist in
color blue and equivalent to the fourth part of the wide one of
the field, loaded with five five-pointed and white stars and two
fimbrations equivalent to the sixtenth part of the latitude of
the field: yellow to the hoist and red to the fly. Completes the
design a five-pointed and blue star with the ephemeris
"1585" in capital gothic numbers located on the
superior canton of the hoist and the Coat of Arms of the
Municipality on inferior canton of the fly.
Historical Synthesis: Until the moment of the redaction of this
report is not available data about the origin and official
adoption of this flag.
Coat of Arms - Attributes: Consist in a
composed Hispanic-Swiss contour divided per pale, the sinister
per pale. The Dexter Quarter of the Chief enameled in Gules (red)
shows a radiant star in Or (yellow) accompanied in the base by
something like a river in Sable (black). The Dexter Quarter of
the Base enameled in Gules (red) presents a specie of colonial
town in its colors. The Sinister Quarter enameled in Gules (red)
shows something like an image of the Holiest Virgin Mary in its
color. As external ornament, the blazon present an helm as crest
and as supports a branch of fruited coffee at the dexter and
another one of cane at the sinister.
