Vargas state was created in 1997. Its flag is the
sun-stars-cuatricolori design designed by Gual and Espana in 1797
for their conspirative movement . It was elected as such because
the bicentennial of the conspiracy was celebrated in 1997 and
because the movement itself originated in Macuto, a town in
Vargas State.

At <www.estadovargas.com>
reported by Dov Gutterman there is a flag .With the map on the site I
tend to believe that it is the area around La Guayra, east of
Caracas.
Jarig Bakker, 25 September 1999
It's a 2:3 flag. Although Gual and Espaoa never said anything
on that matter . In any case, as is usually the case with the
flags around here, no especifications are made. Flag
Manufacturers use standard sizes, and they normally use 2:3.

Above is an improved and actualised image of the Vargas State
Flag, according to the ones that can be seen in Vargas or can be
purchased at retailers. It's still based on the Picornell, Gual y
Espana conspiracy flag, only that the sun is different. The sun
has been 'modernised', sort of speak. I have not been able to
find official proportions or descriptions.

Here's my probably wrong rendition of the Vargas state flag,
Venezuela. This pic is after a website that shows the Colombian
historical flags. The sun is not accurate - the original was too
small to make an accurate image from it. But the rest (and the
colour of the sun) is according to that picture: the vertical
stripes with the width identical to the height of the horizontal
stripe with the stars and the overall proportions of the drawing
seem to show a 1:2 flag, and I made it so.
