Dr. Whitney Smith Flag Research Center Collection (Austin, Texas)

The Dr. Whitney Smith Flag Research Center Collection reflects Dr. Smith's professional and personal activities throughout his lifelong interest and career in vexillology. The collection documents Dr. Smith's early vexillological research through the founding of the Flag Research Center and the North American Vexillological Association (1962 and 1967 respectively), and his later work as one of the world's foremost flag experts.

The collection is contained in the Briscoe Center for American History, University of Texas at Austin.

Following the relocation of the Flag Research Center to the University of Texas at Austin, the Center has resumed operation and maintains a web presence at https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=The%20Flag%20Research%20Center. Senior Fellows of the FRC are Scot Guenter PhD LF FF WSF FVAST, Hugh Brady JD FF, and Charles Spain JD WSF.
