Chámeza is a municipality in Casanare Department. It was
founded on 10 March 1843, municipality since 1956.
The flag of Chámeza is
quartered per saltire red-green and charged with a brick tower at
its center. The tower is used for production of salt.

Translated from municipal
web site:
"The tower represents salt production, red the blood shed
for the liberation of our great nation, and the green stripes the
prosperity of our land."
The tower is portrayed with more details on the municipal coat of
arms, adopted by Municipal Decree No. 8 on 8 March 2005 (probably
also prescribing the flag).
As expected, Chámeza is mostly know in the Casanare department
for its salt deposits, exploited by micro-companies (as I
understand, by familiy- oriented workshops, not by big industrial
companies).
