NAVALIS Shipping GmbH & Co. KG
The company was established in 1972. In 1985 the current owner, Klaus
tom Wörden added a container feeder to the fleet and the company since
then expanded constantly and runs today 13 freighters and 15 container
feeders. There are also a NAVALIS INVEST GmbH & Co. KG, maintaining
financial services and Navalis Shipping Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH, maintaining
administration.

Description of flag of NAVALIS:
It is a blue flag with a light blue squarish tressure. Inside the tressure
are a red bow and a blue triangular object. At the bottom is a white inscription
“NAVALIS”.

The flag shown for Navalis Shipping GmbH & Co. K.G. has me wondering
as to what the originating image located by Klaus-Peter Bühne comprised
as the nearest I have managed to find is a somewhat similar style panel
which serves as link button including on the company
website. However that site, on its history page which shows images
for certain years relating to tom Wörden and then Navalis, for 1972
shows a panel of diagonal blue and white quarters with overall a white
circle bearing a red "N" which is also shown [with a slightly larger letter]
by Joseph Nüsse for his table flags [see image below]. In actual fact only
1 ship is listed as owned by Navalis in Lloyds and that is managed by tom
Wörden together with the rest of their fleet and all are in tom Wörden
colours as far as their funnels are concerned and presumably as far as
the house flag when flown. Joseph Nüsse indicates that Navalis was originally
owned by Rahmann and tom Wörden and I have one other lead which suggests
this may have been the case originally and that may mean the Nüsse flag
was actually flown as well. Navalis now is the group which includes tom
Wörden so the flag shown by Klaus-Michael may well be that of the group
but without confirmation of a sighting of a flag of some sort I am left
wondering. Incidentally the Navalis
website image shows a white portside bow whereas this flag shows it
as light blue.
