The municipality of Pedralba de la Pradería (298 inhabitants in 2010; 10,511 ha; unofficial webpage) is located in Zamora Province, on the border with Portugal, 120 km from Zamora. The municipality is made of the villages of Pedralba de la Pradería (capital), Calabor, Lobeznos, Rihonor de Castilla and Santa Cruz de Abranes.
The village of Calabor has sulphur, chloride and iron-bearing, warm
waters, used since the 13th century for medical purpose; their most
famous user was Eugenia de Montijo.
Rihonor de Castilla is separated from Rio d'Onor, its Portuguese
counterpart, by the Spanish-Portuguese border; the two villages form a
single settlement, whose inhabitants use a mixed language
incorporating elements of the Spanish and Portuguese languages.
Santa Cruz de Abranes, also located on the border, belonged to
Portugal until the 18th century.

The flag and arms of Pedralba de la Pradería are prescribed by a
Decree adopted on 16 November 2001 by the Municipal Council, signed on 21 November 2001 by
the Mayor, and published on 10 December 2001 in the
official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 238, p. 18,097 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:
Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of two serrated equal horizontal stripes, the upper stripe white with three vertical blue stripes and the lower stripe green with two white vertical stripes.
Coat of arms: Per fess serrated, 1. Argent three pales azure, 2. Vert two pales argent. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
The flag is, therefore, a banner of the municipal arms.
