...and now the "secrete" is out, see this
webpage: "The flag of Hooglanderveen" consists of four blocks of yellow
and blue. The colors stand for sun and water, the base of growth. In the
top left corner of the flag is a red cross on a white rectangle, referring
to the coat of arms of Amersfoort. Horizontally through
the center runs an orange wave. The orange wave has several meanings: "Orange
stands for the Netherlands and the wave for the Malewetering, which originates
in Hooglanderveen. The wave also symbolizes the ups and downs of village
life."

Just as her big sister Hoogland, the village
of Hooglanderveen (Amersfoort municipality) now uses its own flag: I work
near Hooglanderveen and the usage of this new flag is huge!
