has two pages with burgees.
Koninklijke Amsterdamsche Roei- en Zeilvereeniging "De Hoop", Amsterdam
- burgee with conic stripes red - black - red; on black a white trapezium
with a golden crown.
I've borrowed the crown from José
Alegrias - the stripes are conic, not straight, see the club's
website, where we also read that the club was founded 26 May 1848,
and has at present 1000 members. The flag is also represented this way
in old club-stationery.
Jarig Bakker, 8 Sep 2004
"De Hoop", Amsterdam - the burgee has no conical stripes, but ordinary
straight bars. The site represents them conical but I saw the flag with
my own eyes. Furthermore they use that on stickers for use on boats and
cars.
Jeroen van Leeuwen, 23 Mar 2005
Watersportvereniging Hoorn (Noord-Holland), after image at this

Groninger Roei Vereniging "De Hunze", Groningen. A flag white
over blue; in the canton a blue cross. It belonged to the student society
"Unitas"; now it is part of the rowing club "Gyas", which on its
homepage shows (top) an orange flag with from
bottom hoist to top fly a blue over white diagonal; at bottom fly a
device, possibly the club's emblem.
"De Hunze" was founded in 1886. In 1964 it became part of the new club
Gyas (a famous rower during the Trojan war).
Jarig Bakker, 7 Sep 2004
De Hunze, Groningen: this was never been a student's club, and was never
part of the Gyas rowing club; it is still
going strong, as can be seen on its homepage.
It was founded in 1886; at its centenary celebrations it was granted the
title "Koninklijk" (royal) and a crown, which has been put on the canton
on top of the blue cross.
