Description of the flag

The flag has been adopted by the parliament of the Vologda region on November 26, 1997 under law number 471. The flag is registered in the register of state under number 226. It is the only flags officially recorded in our area.

Coat of arms detail

The city arms differs from the oblast arms by the fact that it doesn’t bear the crown over the orb.
